    Phonics Workshop

    We would like to invite you to a workshop to find out about how children learn to read and write at the Lower Site. As a school, we use the Read Write Inc Phonics scheme. We will discuss how the children learn each of the sounds and how they learn to blend these sounds into words.

    Drawing and Talking Therapy

    A few of our learners have been accessing Drawing and Talking Therapy in school. This takes place weekly for one on one 30 minute sessions with a practitioner. This is a non-directive form of therapy, where the child can take the lead and spend the session however they would like.

    Free School Meal Vouchers - School Holidays

    The UK Government’s Household Support Fund has funded food vouchers for children and young people entitled to free school meals during the school holidays for the last three years. However, that funding comes to an end on 30 September 2024.
