Phonics Workshop
We would like to invite you to a workshop to find out about how children learn to read and write at the Lower Site. As a school, we use the Read Write Inc Phonics scheme. We will discuss how the children learn each of the sounds and how they learn to blend these sounds into words.
After an explanation of the RWI scheme, will get to see a short speed sound session, to see how this works in practice. We will introduce you to Fred and show you how to play Fred games at home to support your child.
Although this workshop is aimed at KS1 and 2, we kindly open the invitation to all parents/ carers.
